Your application may be refused if it does not contain the required information.
In some circumstances, your application must be refused by SACAT. This includes where:
- The required fee has not been paid and it has not been postponed or waived by SACAT
- Your application does not provide the information or documents required
- SACAT does not have the authority or power to resolve your application
- Your application is not legible (if you submitted it in hard copy to SACAT)
If your application is refused, you can reapply to SACAT about the same matter – you should make sure that your new application addresses these issues.
However, reapplying does not guarantee that a new application will be accepted either. For example, where SACAT does not have jurisdiction to make a decision in your case, reapplying to SACAT will likely not be successful.
SACAT will try to assist you so that your application can be received if possible.
